A Corkment underlay can be used in combination with regular Marmoleum to achieve an impact sound reduction of 14dB. First the Corkment should be installed - with the jute side up - at right angles to the same direction as that of the Marmoleum sheet. Corkment is sold by the square yard.
Wait one day for the adhesive to set. Then install the Marmoleum on top of the Corkment. Follow the standard installation procedures.
