Environmental Considerations
Recycled and certified paper is bound in a non-toxic resin and pressed to form a rock hard, durable surface. Paperstone utilises waste cashew shells for its binder resin, diverting both paper and agricultural waste from landfill.
Common Use
Originally developed for skateboard ramps for its durability and impermeability to water. Now used for kitchen and vanity countertops, staircase treads and landings, fireplace surrounds, bar tops, and commercial surfaces. Available in various thicknesses and can be bent into a semi-circle while remaining stiff and strong.
Style Variety
Both Richlite and Paperstone come in around 8 colours. Paperstone has a more mottled look while Richlite is fairly uniform — both are flat and clean. All edges can be profiled to your preference. Great vibrant reds and yellows are available alongside more subdued, classic tones. Equally at home in modern and traditional settings.

Both Richlite and Paperstone are NSF certified food-safe, scratch and heat resistant, and made from post-consumer recycled paper fibre. They share the same core benefits but differ in their manufacturing process and aesthetic character.
Richlite
Richlite is made from FSC certified recycled paper saturated with a water-based phenolic resin. The result is a highly uniform, dense surface with a consistent colour throughout the material — so even routed edges and deeper scratches reveal the same colour as the face.

Paperstone
Paperstone uses 100% post-consumer recycled paper and binds it with a proprietary PetroFree™ resin derived from waste cashew shells — no petroleum products. The surface has a more mottled, organic appearance, with slight variation in tone that gives each slab a natural character.
